What's New
incorporating social networking into the classroom
June 15, 2010
This article left me with feelings of both fascination and fear. Fascination with the potential for learning through social networking (I'm struggling to get on-board!) and fear of the potential for mis-use and over-use. The description of children using Skype to connect with classroomsworldwide reminded me of writing 'penpal' letters in school. And the BC class that went whale watching to assist a FL school that had contacted them for info on Orcas - a win-win for both classes! Regardless of your stance on social networking, we have to acknowledge that it is here to stay! Lots of good info - right to the end!
